PERSONALIZED SPINE CARE
via Artificial Intelligence, Image Guidance & Robotics Technology
Stanley Hoang, M.D.
To my patients,
I grew up in California and after going through college and medical school at Stanford University, neurosurgery residency training at University of Missouri, and fellowship training in complex spine surgery at University of Cincinnati, I was extremely privileged to join the Department of Neurosurgery at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport.
My subspecialized clinical expertise focuses on spinal degenerative and traumatic diseases, adult scoliosis and deformities, spinal oncology, and complex primary and revision spinal procedures. My mission is to combine compassionate, patient-focused care with multidisciplinary, state-of-the-art, evidence-based medicine to provide you with insight and knowledge to make informed decisions. My goal is to help educate you and your family about the clinical presentation and natural history of your conditions, as well as treatment options, whether that be non-operative care or surgical management. I emphasize conservative care and recommend surgery only when indicated. If surgery is an option for you, I always elect for safe and more minimally invasive techniques, using image guided navigation and robotic technologies. I strive to be sincere in my advice, and I take the trust that you and your family place in me to heart.
My staff is made up of the neurosurgical residents at LSU, my nurse practitioner, clinic managers, nurses, and medical assistants. We work together to always be available for you and to provide the best care possible. Please do not hesitate to contact us directly for any questions or concerns. We look forward to helping you.
Very truly yours,
Stanley Hoang, M.D.

ROBOTICS
Dr. Hoang routinely performs his surgery with Image Guidance and Robotics Technology. This allows for maxial surigcal efficiency, procedural safety and optimal outcomes.
Dr. Hoang performed the first robotic single position prone lateral lumbar fusion in the state of Louisiana in April 2023.
Artificial Intelligence
Dr. Hoang uses Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techology
to plan his surgery. Each patient will have a simulated surgical plan based on individual anatomy and pathology. Custom titanium rods will then be manufactured prior to the surgery and used during the operation. This ensures surgical goals are met and corrective parameters are achieved to maximize clinical benefits.
LOCATIONS
We see patients at St. Mary Place and Viking Drive clinics. We perform surgery at Ochsner LSU Academic Medical Center.
For your first appointment, make sure to bring a DISC of previous images (XR, CT, MRI). That way, Dr. Hoang can review your images and show them to you. You must bring the disc and not just the report.
